Szico VII
Just tried installing GTK radiant 1.4.0 on my laptop - works, except it only displays things in wireframe (even though bilinear textures is selected.) This includes brushes, patches, models, everything. Also tried installing radiant 1.6.2, also works, but also has same problem. Also updated to latest graphics drivers (Intel HD graphics 1000 I believe)Processor is Intel Core i3 330M.Windows 7-64 bit So in short, not the best rig, but i only want it to take a few tutorial pics for capping cylinders, but I cant even do that if the textures wont display properly.Any ideas? Oh, and Ive tried all the compatibility stuff if you're wondering. Cheers techies! Link to comment
Turquoise Dragon
Did it work before you updated the graphics drivers? If so that may be the culprit. Other than that, I've got no idea. Link to comment
Szico VII
No sorry it didnt work with the original ones or the new ones! Link to comment
Szico VII
I have just had a mess with the ansio, no effect. Doesnt seem to be an option for antialiasing in the intel control panel no surprise there. Thanks for the suggestion though. Link to comment
RebelChum
Try checking the box next to ATI cards with broken drivers - bug #802 under the Preferences page. V Display 2D Display/Rendering You may have to restart GTK for it to take effect. Link to comment
Szico VII
Already tried that - sorry, still no go! Link to comment
RebelChum
I've also heard that Disabling the desktop composition, under the compatibility options, can help. Link to comment
Szico VII
This is Intel HD graphics, the UI is pretty much non-existent Certainly cant find any options about threaded optimisation! Ive tried all the various compatibility options including the run as admin to no avail. Link to comment
RebelChum
I remember having this exact issue. It's been so long that I can't, for the life of me, remember how to resolve it. I remember having to fix it at the same time I had to disable win32 dialogues so saving would work. It's got to be one of the ticked/unticked boxes in that Preference menu. Link to comment
Szico VII
Yes I have had to do that for saving - but it doesn't affect the 3d display problem unfortunately! Link to comment
Szico VII
Yeah I'm positive that I've applied the compatibility settings correctly - what exactly does this local.pref do and where is it?Cheers. Link to comment
CaptainChar
all boards that use the i series chips ahve the intel graphics, even my mobo on my desktop does, have you tried a different version of radient? and not 100%, whats radients 3d settings, not in radient, by the Intel HD settings for radient, or overall? i know nvidia's can have profiles per application Link to comment
Szico VII
My things doesnt have per-application options as far as I can tell. And Ive tried 1.4.0 AND 1.6.2 Link to comment
CaptainChar
thats umm strange as for compat, all you do is right click on the exe file, but that shouldnt force it to rendor in wireframe only Link to comment
Delta_135
do you have any other graphic cards installed, then just intel? Link to comment

Armpit
Not sure if you're still looking for an answer, and i'm not trying to grave dig. BUT, i have been looking for an answer to this, for so so so long, i finally found one that helped me, even after ticking that ATI bug fix box, and trying everything, turns out, all i had to do, was press "J". This is just another possible solution, but i tried everything everyone has said, and everything everyone else had said, unistalled, and reinstalled, everything, turned out all i needed to do, was press "J". It seemed like, changing the "Render Quality" from trilinear, to whatever, was unresponsive, and pressing J might be the hotkey for it? Link to comment
Szico VII
Thanks, I had already tried that option, but unfortunately changing the surface display rendering didn't help either, at least, not in a proper fashion. Sometimes sides display and then they stop after a few seconds, or when the 3d view moves e.t.c. No worries, I have a new laptop now with intel HD 4000.... and a GTX660. ;D Link to comment
