Not sure if you're still looking for an answer, and i'm not trying to grave dig. BUT, i have been looking for an answer to this, for so so so long, i finally found one that helped me, even after ticking that ATI bug fix box, and trying everything, turns out, all i had to do, was press "J". This is just another possible solution, but i tried everything everyone has said, and everything everyone else had said, unistalled, and reinstalled, everything, turned out all i needed to do, was press "J". It seemed like, changing the "Render Quality" from trilinear, to whatever, was unresponsive, and pressing J might be the hotkey for it?
