Tempust85 Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Ok so I've just updated from IE 10 to 11 and now I have the following issues: - When posting and a dialog box comes up (for things like insert link, picture, etc), the "ok" "cancel" & the "X" close buttons don't do anything.- Randomly when I'm about to type, the text box area is unclickable. It works normally if I refresh the page, but I then lose what I've already typed. Doesn't happen when I use firefox which is my backup browser.
Xycaleth Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I'm not seeing those problems on my end :/ Have you tried clearing the cache for the website?
Tempust85 Posted December 22, 2014 Author Posted December 22, 2014 You know, I always forget to try that.... :\
Circa Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Let me know if that fixes it. And here I thought nobody here used IE. Jango40, Mert-K, Onysfx and 3 others like this
Tempust85 Posted December 24, 2014 Author Posted December 24, 2014 Still have the issue. Btw, I now get a different dialog for URL's:
Circa Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Ha. So it looks like it doesn't believe in dropdown boxes. Weird. I'll look into this issue. Perhaps its time to get the latest IPB update. You probably hear this a lot, but how come you don't use Chrome or Firefox?
Tempust85 Posted December 24, 2014 Author Posted December 24, 2014 I have Firefox but it's my backup browser. I'm just used to using IE, been using it since windows 95.
Circa Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 I have Firefox but it's my backup browser. I'm just used to using IE, been using it since windows 95. Understandable. That's how I was for a long time as well. It's the slowest of them all though, and has issues like this, which is why I moved to Chrome when I use Windows. But now Safari on Mac is fastest, and I can't stand using any others.
eezstreet Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Most likely it's actually just the jQuery/jQuery UI plugin acting odd with IE11. A full update to IPB might not be necessary. Circa likes this
gerbilOFdoom Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 @@DT85, try resetting IE. Should be under Internet Settings > Advanced > Reset. I don't know exactly because I'm hacking my Chromebook into submission so it can run JKA Circa likes this
