Removing alt-fire for Player

Is it possible to use a weapon in game for the player but have the alt-fire disabled?

I think you could go into weapons.dat and make the ammo usage for the alt attack WAY to large, effectively making it unusable.

Or unbind the altattack key and remove it from the controls menu

Is that weapon specific, though? Or, would all the weapons not have alt-fire?

Making the altfire use to much ammo works, although you switch weapons if you press it.
