Moviebattles II manual server issues.

Hello everybody,

 

Here's my problem, lately I've started up my MB2 server called "Perry's FA". Everything went just fine, till 1 January. My server suddenly stopped showing in the list and my rtv/rtm system didn't seem to find the server anymore. I've checked everything twice, yet I can't find the problem. Maybe you guys might know the problem, and I would like some help in this.

....you probably want to change your passwords now, and remove them from your post.

Already removed them, I'm not that stupid xd

 

Edit: Nvm, I'm stupid. Indeed forgot to remove them xD, I'll change it once my server runs again.

Check your ports. Are you able to connect to the server using /connect?

No, others can't seem to connect using /connect. I checked and it says that I'm still ported, but suddenly my server doesnt work anymore. It's kinda weird it happend at 1st of January.

It's homehost, and I have checked the port that I'm using and it's fine.

Checked firewall? Linux or Windows?

Turned firewall off to look if that was the issue, but sadly it's not. And I've got Windows 7.

Windows Firewall? Your router might have one too.

Though it sounds like your ISP might be filtering packets from that port. Not sure. I doubt it's anything on your end, given the circumstances.

I've turned my routers firewall off too, but that doesn't seem to be the problem either. It's weird that it suddently stops working. It worked fine before 1st of January, I've also tried changing ports and that didn't work either.

Do you have access to another computer to try on?

No, I dont. Two silly reasons for that.

 

1. 2 computers are old and ain't suitable

2. My brother is selfish and don't let me touch his computer.

It might be my port after all, I used http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ to check if my port was open. Yet it says that it's closed.

Your ISP might be blocking that port on your hardware.

Okay so I have no idea what to do. I've installed the mod and all the updates, yet I can't connect to any servers. They don't even show up on the server list. Any help? Please? lol

For what reason do they want to do that?

Possibly to limit bandwidth.

I've tried DMZ, also that didn't work. Every port I try doesn't seem to work.

That sucks.   Maybe you could try contacting your ISP?
