Maui Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 Well according to Razor I did it right now.I moved all the pk3 files into japlus. But when I start OpenJK it gives me the uix86.dll error. I also tried to open it as an admin, doesn't work either.
ensiform Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 You should have the correct JA++ version of uix86.dll in C:\Users\Kenny\Documents\My Games\OpenJK\japlus when it loads correctly, otherwise if it is failing to load it, it probably won't. Or it can't load for an unknown reason. ]japp_versionUnknown command "japp_version" Suggests its using base.
Maui Posted January 3, 2014 Author Posted January 3, 2014 I don't get it, I placed the correct uix86.dll in that specific location and it still gives the error, are you sure it's working properly for you? :S
Maui Posted January 3, 2014 Author Posted January 3, 2014 What must I do to get Clientside working? What must I do to get Serverside working?
Raz0r Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I'm not sure why that issue is occurring if you're not on XP and have the VC++ redistributable. I won't be able to update the Windows build for another day or so. Sorry. The instructions I posted earlier have always worked.
Maui Posted January 3, 2014 Author Posted January 3, 2014 I've already solved the problem. The problem from your side is that you didn't give the right instructions to me. ^^ First of all you install ja+, then you remove the client_v*.dll and the gla_anims and then you drag in the files. It works perfectly now. Thanks for the attempts of helping me. ** Maui **
Raz0r Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 No, you don't install JA+ first. Any files from JA+ (i.e. cgamex86.dll, uix86.dll) won't even be loaded (ideally) because JA++ provides its own in cl_bins_win32.pk3 Not sure why it's suddenly working for you now. Are you sure both UI and CGame are from JA++?
Maui Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 Well, when I copied all the JA++ files in japlus (in its empty state) it didn't work for me so, there should be a problem with your files then I think (not sure).I'll try again with just the files of JA++.
Maui Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 HUH?Now it works... Those files are just messing with my mind I think o.O
Raz0r Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Could it be that you installed the VC++ redistributable, then restarted your computer?
Maui Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 I did before it worked, I first loaded the openjk while starting with ja+ and then ja++.
