Very cool model.   

I always thought if/when I start to learn modelling, I would make some droids.   

Nice model, nice idea, and nice adherence to the reference!

PS does the tread animate?   I spawn him in, but he is stationary.

Response from the author:

Sadly no, there's no tread animation. If you're using mods like clanmod you can get him to follow you with the use key, and the spawn uses the r2d2 class so under certain conditions it should start rolling around if it's damaged or sometimes if there's a jawa around.
