Can't find servers on Jedi Knight Jedi Academy?

Circa

Why are there no servers on Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy? The server list is empty.
If you just launched the game on Steam or GOG or wherever else you bought this game, chances are you went to find a server to join but the server list is empty. Don't worry, there are still plenty of servers to play on! This blank list just means that the official master server that all other servers ping to is currently down. Luckily, the community has come together to help keep the multiplayer alive by hosting their own master server and running a game client that can show it by default.

A new game client: EternalJK TaystJK
Ever since the game's source code released back in 2013, a project called OpenJK began to fix some bugs and improve compatibility with modern systems. From that project spawned many other projects to take many steps further to improve the Jedi Academy experience. The best one to use for playing multiplayer was called EternalJK, which ceased development while TaystJK began as a fork of that (OpenJK -> EternalJK -> TaystJK). It includes many nice features, but the most important one in this case is it will show servers that ping to the community master servers. You can stick with OpenJK too if you want a more vanilla experience.

Download at the link below:

Latest version of TaystJK

And then follow this guide to install TaystJK/EternalJK/OpenJK for Windows/Mac/Linux:

If you get the error "MSVCP140.dll was not found" then download the x86 version of Visual C++ Redistributable here:
