    Pity there is nowhere else for me to go and RP in JA now, I don't like the idea of finding a completely new group of people, shame I can't be with the old ones I liked.

      "Pointless" doesn't have to be anything bad. It's just lack of a goal behind something, but then again, you could just say there's no actual goal behind the other goal and in the end strip it down entirely. :P

      fighting and all that stuff - it's pretty boring for me, no fun for me.

      Just a matter of taste, nothing more.

       

      In case of RP I mean generally the same. "Gameplay" would be just playing as the character, writing his dialogue, and turn-based narrated fights. So, by "pointless" I mean "lacking a goal", not "waste of time" or anything bad. Just not a specific goal, not much of a plot, not much of story-writing behind the RP.

      I'll elaborate, but be warned, it's too long for a status :P By "playing for the sake of playing" I mean playing for the gameplay. All the stuff where you're into it for the gameplay itself, for the fights, turn-based fights, the puzzles, etc. Like all these LOLs, Smites and all games like that. I don't really play video games since last 8 years, I only RP, but when I do play them, I do it to know the plot, to get to know the characters; the gameplay, running around, f...

      Depends on the RP. In many cases, yes, it's pretty pointless. Just playing it for the sake of playing it and that's it. In more advanced cases it's more like writing a story with friends.

      That was fugging 10/10. It's the best SW contest I watched besides KotORs, started watching it at 5:20 before going to sleep... watched it whole and couldn't sleep after xD Emotional, beautiful, mysterious, 11/10.

    OH THANK GOD I ALMOST HAD A HEART ATTACK, my map fucked up and I thought I'd lost everything but luckily, I had a restore point from the 25th so I just need to alter what was added back in..

      Damn, that's pretty surprising. I always thought that optical discs, while slow, bad for regular use and inconvenient, are the most secure for any backup. Never would have thought pendrives can outlive them :P
