I've had thoughts of tackling Oakvale for years. I haven't started it for the same reasons.

essentially the vampire blood chronicle mod has all the assets you'd need >.> since it was supposed to be a medieval mod to begin with, I should talk to Darth and see about releasing the assets publicly
