  1. That'll have to do with the new direction coming from Disney. I must say I honestly cringe from this new series. It's an awful insult on so many levels. After the advanced themes and stylised designs developed for the Clone Wars, now we're going two steps back to a childish story with simple, childish visuals. I think this will be a show for children, and children only. Seeing how they're twisting the story and characters here to suit a particular agenda and audience makes me really worried for what Disney will decide to do with the new Star Wars movies… :/ EDIT: Although, it's nothing that George Lucas hasn't already done with the new trilogy compared to the (unaltered) original.
  2. Unfortunately there's been a lot of focus on re-making certain models over the years, and not so much on creating new ones. I know very few modellers who have actually attempted new things (HapSlash and Mars Marshall being notably two of them). As @@Kualan said, HapSlash focused a lot on the original characters in his later work, but unfortunately many of them never got to see daylight. I remember following the development of the Tarkin model closely. (HapSlash spent a lot of heart in it and it was very close to release.) On that note I will commend @@DT85 for his work on Mara Jade and his other new models (that I've discovered only recently) and @@Jeff for his Ladies of the EU skin pack. And I strongly urge all (remaining) JK modellers to be brave and tackle new challenges. @@Lancelot is absolutely right in that we've only scratched the surface of all the characters that the original trilogy and the Star Wars universe contains. There's so much more to create.
  3. LOL! Awesome, @@ensiform!
  4. I would really be cautious with CRT monitors. They do tend to strain the eye, and if you're spending extended periods of time in front of the screen, electrons blasting the back of your eyes are not the healthiest way to spend that quality time. (My best friend pretty much completely lost his eyesight thanks to the amazing qualities of a CRT screen… )
  5. Hahaha! Love the AFK one! And the training ground. Thanks for sharing, OmarFW.

Very nice armour design. I like it.
  7. Be sure to submit it as a feature if you do. That would be quite an accomplishment.
  8. "The time has come," the Walrus said, "To talk of other things: Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax-- Of cabbages--and kings--

"O Oysters, come and walk with us!"

      The Walrus did beseech.

"A pleasant walk, a pleasant talk,

      Along the briny beach:

We cannot do with more than four,

To give a hand to each."

"It seems a shame," the Walrus said,

"To play them such a trick,

After we've brought them out so far,

And made them trot so quick!"

      The Carpenter said nothing but

      "The butter's spread too thick!"

      Four other Oysters followed them,

      And yet another four;

And thick and fast they came at last,

And more, and more, and more--

All hopping through the frothy waves,

      And scrambling to the shore.

  9. That'd be because they're old and all quite small. When I took them the largest screens people were using were 1024x768 px mostly, and I was running the game at 800x600 px on my laptop in order to boost performance… XD Good times!
  10. That one's not mine. I only found it lying about. "Waiting in the dark" is, though.
  11. LOL! No, if I remember correctly it's just a body made to disappear by the engine with the "desynchronise" effect.
  12. It seems there's a big difference between what a European person and an American/Australian person considers personal respect.

LOL! Nope, the rest of the world is turned on its head. XD

  13. Well, it's a dead loony in the Loony Academy. One's sleep-talking, the other's imaginary rope-skipping, and the third's joined in from the grave... And yes, I had too much caffeine! XD
  14. The force spirit of a long lost looney!

  16. No, I mean my copy of Windows is just a mess. >.<' I never got it to work on my computer. I'll have to reinstall the whole partition to get things to work.
  17. Wooow! Thou art a miracle, DT! (Just don't let all this heavy praise get to your head! ) Really looking forward to this. Outstanding work, as usual.
  18. You don't need to tell me.
  19. Thanks Darth, I appreciate your support. Eez helped me out with compiling this one, so I can mark this now as solved. My Windows 8 is just a mess, and it won't do anything I ask it to… >.<' XD

    Great work!

If you make it so. It doesn't have to be... :/ The ones hurt have already left you. I'm not going to go into a discussion again, Omicron. I was just answering Darth's call to confirm that I don't "hate" you all, and despite our differences I still appreciate this project.
  21. Cerez

    Great work!

I don't hate all of you Darth, but I'm beginning to really dislike a certain few and their attitude here -- you know who you are. And unfortunately the management seems to fully support their immature and ignorant ways, and tolerate the hurt they cause to others, so I'm not interested in being a part of this community anymore.
  22. These are award-winning maps that are some of the best from the early days of JKA. I have contacted the author and he has agreed to have them re-hosted at JKHub as long as full credit is given. http://jediknight3.filefront.com/developer/Wedge2211;6662 One of them is the stormy weather screenshot you guys have seen as a "secret" map of mine in another thread here on the forums. (I'm not back to being active here, I just felt I owe this to the author and to the greater community.)
  23. You guys are jerks. There's just no sense of decency here. If you had wanted to right the wrongs and be fair, you would have taken steps to make sure that people don't feel this kind of abuse. Just so you don't say I didn't warn you, abuse on the Internet is just as much a crime as abuse in real life, and one of you will end up in a lawsuit one of these days because of your ignorance. I'm outta here, this is just not worth my time. There are better communities out there, and better people who tolerate each others' presence and actually work together to achieve things instead of pissing on each other to no end in order to satisfy their own egos and I don't know what else. I am fully disgusted with your attitudes. Crimson, I'm sorry but I don't feel that your assessment is entirely just. I know you have the best of intentions, and you're one person I actually honestly respect in this community, but I must say that I sincerely feel that CaptainCrazy is just as much a victim as all those who have left before him and that there is something seriously wrong with your attitude here guys. For all my efforts I have spent here I don't see much appreciation. I think most of you are incredibly selfish and should be ashamed of yourselves. (Apologies to the few decent people who still stick around and tolerate all the bullshit they have to deal with every day from jerks around here. Don't put up with it guys, just leave. Form your own community site with actually decent rules that make sure no-one gets hurt. It's not that hard. Don't let a bunch of hypocrites dictate what is right and what is wrong for your work. Most of them are not as experienced as they make themselves out to be -- especially if their ego is more important than their work.) I'm done. Gone. Out.
  24. Eez, I'd like you to consider that Captain tolerated two waves of criticism from two individuals, and then a selfish post about his project being challenged/taken-over by a staff member before reacting the way he did with an presumably exaggerated reaction. I don't feel that the reaction was an overreaction at all. It was quite natural and reasonable considering the circumstances. I also think that staff are not meant to take sides. Isn't that the rule of thumb here? :/ Perhaps these things should better be discussed in a formal setting with all staff present.
