  1. You mean level screenshots? I will once there is something to show (without spoiling the surprise). It's hard to show level design without compromising the first-time play-through experience. Edit: I think what I'll do is I'll give you mid-combat screenshots -- with all the commotion -- that'll give you a glimpse into the level complexity and immersion, as well as some sneak peeks into a few of the cinematic touches that are not too much of a spoiler.
  2. Small update: the loading screens are done, and "Ahsoka's Nightmare" is finished. I've updated the first post in this thread with the progress and images. I'm working on the "Red Nexus Getaway" next.
  3. Just ran some tests, and no, it's not OpenJK specific. The original game has this problem, as well. It looks like it's a faulty or missing implementation in the original code. Custom spawned NPCs are saved properly, but vehicles aren't.
  4. I've encountered this problem as well. It seems to be happening with vehicles that were not spawned with a script, but through the console in SP. If such a vehicle is spawned and the game is saved, when loading that save file the game crashes. Anyone know if this is OpenJK specific, and if it has been addressed/fixed?
  5. Progress update: Red Nexus Mission: 20%20% Mygeeto Rescue Mission: 0%0% Ahsoka's Nightmare: 90%90%
  6. That sounds like something that could be improved upon in the OpenJK SP code. But you don't have too many maps where you could use vehicles effectively. Battlefront was always more for vehicles than JKA. The controls for vehicles are just more fluid there, and the level design compliments that need for space to move. If you ask me, JK was always about the personal combat and missions. That's where it excels.
  7. The latter. This is a project with a focus on creating interesting missions, story bits, and first person action sequences reminiscent of and in theme with the TV show. I'm not creating any additional assets for this mod, just selectively using what we've all created over the last decade in the community. I'm focused on delivering interesting levels and a genuine Clone Wars experience (as close as I can get it) -- a cinematic atmosphere, and engaging action scenarios. The aim is to basically make it feel like you are immersed as a character in the show. It's the doing to the watching, as a compliment. The idea came after I realised we have all these great assets we've created over the years, but still no means to really enjoy playing the Clone Wars action experience in JKA. The objective of this project is to create a set of SP missions that let you, as a player, step into the world of The Clone Wars, and personally live through the experience of such missions right in the action.
  8. Thanks. And yeah, that's why it's a dream, a nightmare. Gives us a chance to verse Vader as a player with Ahsoka, but it's just a troubled, dark dream in her mind after the events of Order 66, storywise. Here's a sneak peek into the Vader fight dream 'mission':
  9. I'm working on a collection of new SP missions aimed to bring to life Clone Wars style action in JKA. Originally my intention was to give them an introduction and tie them all together as well with cinematic cutscenes and a cohesive story, but I think I'll start with something simpler, and maybe add in that cinematic scripting, voice acting, and dialogue later. I welcome any new ideas you may have for a Clone Wars style mission and its briefing. So far I have the following ideas: Title: Red Nexus Getaway Location: Coruscant Underworld Player: Jedi Padawan Celesa Chini Sidekick: Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano Briefing: "The Red Nexus have been alerted to your presence, and your comlink's been destroyed. Find Ahsoka and get back with her to Padme's ship before you two are captured." Development Progress: 30%30% Title: Mygeeto Rescue Location: Mygeeto Player: Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano Sidekick: Jedi Master Plo Koon Briefing: "Lead your squad, and come to Master Krisham and Padawan Wobb's aid before they are overwhelmed by General Grievous' forces and killed on the battlefield." Development Progress: 0%0% Title: Ahsoka's Nightmare Location: Dream (Palpatine's Office) Player: Ex-Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano Briefing: "Order 66 has been executed and the Jedi are no more. Duel Darth Vader in Ahsoka's post-Order-66 nightmare." Development Progress: 100%100%
  10. I think I'm gonna start working on a simple Clone Wars mission mod for SP -- without cinematics and dialogue for now -- just the action.

  11. Rebels emotional content value: "I'm glad you're not dead." "I'm glad you're not, too." "Let's get the show on."

Just because you write wallpages, it doesn't mean you're right.

Also if you think few quotes like that make a story mature, the Twilight trilogy as well can be utmost mature show, considering the show became darker than its first season.

Notebene; I understand you're upset over canceling few seasons of TCW, because best things always eventually come to an end. You liked the show more than rebels? Fine by be, it's your opinion.

Lucifer, this is my status message after all. Of course it is my opinion -- LOL! Being a fan, I am of course upset that TCW was cancelled, but what's bugging me is that I'm finding Rebels to be way beneath what I would expect from a Star Wars TV series targeted for all ages. And we have nothing else, now.

It would be stupid for them to not consider rebooting TCW since it is officially cannon and it never finished itself out to end at the Battle over Coruscant like it should have. I didn't like the beginning of the show and the pilot movie was gayer than 2 dicks touching but the final few seasons were pretty good.

  12. What about not serving a full page, but simply presenting an error message at the top, alerting the user that their browser doesn't meet the standards the site requires? And to contact you if they believe this is in error? I'm thinking a yellow-coloured banner inserted through a combination of a very small server-side response and a snippet of Javascript to handle it? In any case, something simple for you/us to implement, but that would let the user know why the site suddenly stopped working for them -- so they're not left hanging, wondering what the hell is going on, like I did. My first thought was that my account had been wrongly tampered with or compromised, actually. I had no idea it was browser version specific. I thought I was completely blocked out of using my account for some reason. I didn't think about trying another browser until I found out I wasn't the only one having this problem, and until @@eezstreet kindly suggested it to me.
  13. You've done some amazing work, AshuraDX, but this is truly one of your best! Well optimised and simply stunning!
  14. I can second this. I've received a 500 status and "connection reset" on more than a few occasions as well.
  15. @@Caelum, I wasn't taking a jab at you. I trust your expertise, but we have to bear in mind that not everyone is running on an unlimited broadband connection, and having a browser version that is a few months old shouldn't stop me from being able to use the site. But I understand the reasons for the implementation now -- DDoS attacks are not pretty. Thank you for looking into this. It seems to be working fine now. I will update my version of Firefox, of course, as soon as I have some bandwidth to spare -- but it's good to know other users will be able to use the site as well. All things considered, I think the going forward plan looks reasonable from a user perspective as well, with the exception of IE11+. Is it possible to run IE11 on Windows 7 at all? Does anyone know? Android browsers are problematic, because they are not updated on the devices often enough (I know, I own an older Android phone as well). Often "up-to-date" is not actually up-to-date when it comes to Android. These browsers can handle simple web pages, but when it comes to web software like a bulletin board (forums), depending on the age of the device and its maximum supported version of Android OS, they may not be up to the challenge. This is not something to do with JKHub and its setup specifically -- this is a common problem with these browsers and advanced web software.
  16. Fantastic work, Brownjor10!
  17. I can confirm that the problem is browser specific. With Eez's help I was able to log in and post here using Chrome. But I wouldn't call version 37.0.2 of Firefox ancient, @@Caelum. It was released end of April 2015. Why are we pushing for bleeding edge requirements with the site? That will exclude a lot of users...
  18. I don't know about you guys, but to me this is what Star Wars stood for from the beginning. The magic that captured me in Obi-Wan's tales of a distant world where knights with lightsabers fought to maintain peace and justice throughout the galaxy. Where a simple farmer boy's father turned out to be the stuff of legend, his actions echoing through the people he touched. Where the Force was something like a mystical power from ages ago, that only a few of the wisest know the existance of. This is what the prequels somewhat damaged for me, and what I sincerely hope the sequels will not damage further, but help to revive. Nonetheless, with the prequel flashbacks added, this video serves as an excellent reminder of what the Jedi Knights were in their all, what they stood for -- which is something that the prequels in all their action and drama, and the collapse of the Jedi Order have somehow made us forget. At least that's how I feel about it... Old Ben's tale created that magic and immersion for me, and made being a Jedi Knight something to aspire to and long for.

  21. @@Maui, I recommend that you import a couple of Raven and community models first, and study their weighting via Blender before attempting to do it yourself. That's really the only way to learn it. Read through Psyk0's tutorial on the subject in the link @@AshuraDX kindly provided for you above, and then you'll need two things to get importing GLMs with weights happening so you can study them: 1. Blender 2.68 for your platform: http://download.blender.org/release/Blender2.68/ 2. @@mrwonko's plugin suite: http://jkhub.org/files/file/1413-blender-264-jedi-academy-plugin-suite/ And this is an overview and introduction to Blender's weighting interface that I found useful in my studies:
