Yeah, but why go virtual when you can dual-boot and run the real thing? Unless it is for an app -- for work and for quick access -- in which case WINE is still much better performance-wise than any emulator. WINE is not an emulator in that it doesn't create a virtual environment. It only replicates certain system resources that are required for Windows apps to work. The rest is run quite like any conventional binary. The performance difference is significant.

That said, it is sometimes finicky to get certain Windows apps to work with WINE. That's why I said that I think WINE is more for specialist applications, where you need to run a Windows app on Linux. I wouldn't use it for games much. You can, but you'd be much better off with a dual-boot.

Today i try a test with StarCraft BroodWar in WINE and guest what.. is working great !
