well technically speaking, it should be possible. Each LOD is a model on it's own after all, you'd just assign other (downsized?) textures to it... but not sure how efficient that would be.

RJA just leave it be. I don't think anyone's interested in all this on a status about the next movie. I hope it's gonna be as great as Rogue One and that they do the Lucas legacy some good - i don't want it to turn into kids movies.

EP7 was already a huge copy of EP4 in so many ways, regarding the plot. It's just a feeling i have and my gut is usually spot-on. Let's hope it's not this time.

Let him start with simple reskins. Isolating a char map and creating a custom one, writing his own npc file, after which he could try a simple bit of modeling a saber and after that... I dunno, maybe GFX files, lvl creation. But i'd start with the simplest things first and move onto complicated ones later on.

I'm just saying, if anyone wants to do this project, you gotta inform yourself of the particular numbers, like, on average what's the max vert count for playermodels, weapons respectively and the likes. Whether there's certain effects you should save on detail cuz they eat FPS more than others and the likes... that's why you probably need a community for this.

Yeah I hate the lightning as well... ReShade helps taking care of that tho. A bit of HDR and Ambient Light, and you'll forget how the old ever looked like. Regarding the engine, it's one thing to try 4k textures on a model or pack the game full of high models and textures.

What about BF2 engine limitations? If you know by chance. Cuz it's kinda important to inform yourself about that when thinking of reworking a game, to set a limit to how detailed you're gonna go.
