Sculptris wasn't made by Pixologic, it was a program made by 1 guy and he sold it to Pixologic and then was hired by them, it was serious competition for ZBrush especially since it was free. According to Ashura the old version before Pixologic tampered with it ran better, I just downloaded it to play around to see if that's true or not. Just google Sculptris 1.02, that was the final version before being sold.

still, even if you go get an older version, free Zbrush is free Zbrush....I mean I have Mudbox, so I don't personally need it. But it is still good to know it is out there.
