You can just open the file with Gimp and delete the logo until you have a transparent layer. Don't forget to add an alpha channel to the image before you do that.Than you can replace the transparent image with the logo by putting it into another pk3 file. Just make sure that the transparent image is exported in a .tga file, just like the original file. The original file is already transparent. All you have to do is just remove the logo with the eraser tool.
ensiform Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Caution: You should never alter the assets pk3 files. Instead extract what you want from them and put the replacement in a new pk3 that is sorted alphabetically after assets pk3s. Might be easier also to just remove that object from the menu file so it doesn't show up, no? A black/transparent image is still technically rendered to the GPU otherwise.
ensiform Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Delete the item entry in the menu file like any other menu item.
