'Go to first unread post' icon is broken

The 'Go to first unread post' icon here:

 

 

is kinda broken, because it is impossible to use 1x1 null picture as a button (as it should be). Could you please get back the 'bullet' (never posted in the thread, but there are new messages) and 'star' (posted in the thread and there are new messages)? Love this function in IPB3, it is very useful for quick navigation, no need in searching last read message.

Clicking on the unread thread should take you to the first unread post. That's probably why the icon was removed.

Didn't know that was possible, I always clicked the icon but assumed it went missing due to a bug, been bothering me for awhile now

My point is that the function is there, and it was removed to avoid redundancy. I'll see to putting them back though.

 

The link on right goes to last post, the hidden image is to get the unread new posts so if there were 3 new posts it'd go to the first of the new ones you didn't read I believe where the one on the right would go to the most recent post as a whole.

Wayback Machine shows they've never been there. You're probably thinking of JAWA's forum, which used the same software.
