GTK Radiant only showing wireframe view

Just tried installing GTK radiant 1.4.0 on my laptop - works, except it only displays things in wireframe (even though bilinear textures is selected.)

This includes brushes, patches, models, everything.

Also tried installing radiant 1.6.2, also works, but also has same problem.

Also updated to latest graphics drivers (Intel HD graphics 1000 I believe)

Processor is Intel Core i3 330M.

Windows 7-64 bit

So in short, not the best rig, but i only want it to take a few tutorial pics for capping cylinders, but I cant even do that if the textures wont display properly.

Any ideas?

Oh, and Ive tried all the compatibility stuff if you're wondering.

Cheers techies!

I have just had a mess with the ansio, no effect. Doesnt seem to be an option for antialiasing in the intel control panel :P no surprise there. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Try checking the box next to ATI cards with broken drivers - bug #802 under the Preferences page.

V Display

2D Display/Rendering

You may have to restart GTK for it to take effect.

This is Intel HD graphics, the UI is pretty much non-existent :P Certainly cant find any options about threaded optimisation!

Ive tried all the various compatibility options including the run as admin to no avail. :(

I remember having this exact issue. It's been so long that I can't, for the life of me, remember how to resolve it.

I remember having to fix it at the same time I had to disable win32 dialogues so saving would work. It's got to be one of the ticked/unticked boxes in that Preference menu.

Not sure if you're still looking for an answer, and i'm not trying to grave dig. BUT, i have been looking for an answer to this, for so so so long, i finally found one that helped me, even after ticking that ATI bug fix box, and trying everything, turns out, all i had to do, was press "J". This is just another possible solution, but i tried everything everyone has said, and everything everyone else had said, unistalled, and reinstalled, everything, turned out all i needed to do, was press "J".

It seemed like, changing the "Render Quality" from trilinear, to whatever, was unresponsive, and pressing J might be the hotkey for it?

Thanks, I had already tried that option, but unfortunately changing the surface display rendering didn't help either, at least, not in a proper fashion. Sometimes sides display and then they stop after a few seconds, or when the 3d view moves e.t.c.

No worries, I have a new laptop now with intel HD 4000.... and a GTX660. ;D
