KailanSSJ4 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I have been getting a crash back to the main menu when I go to attack an enemy with a lightsaber and I am just about to kill them. It isn't specific to any particular enemy and it seems to be inconsistent as to when and which enemy causes the crash. The attached image shows the error. Any way I can fix this? https://jkhub.org/images/K7H7EhG.jpg Thanks in advance!
Ramikad Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Basically that means that your character's or your opponent's "total geometry" is too high - too many polygons between player model and held weapon. What player and weapon models are you using?
KailanSSJ4 Posted January 4, 2016 Author Posted January 4, 2016 I was using a custom playermodel from Spanki's Jedi customizer: http://jkhub.org/files/file/1707-spankis-jedi-customization/And my saber was Darth Maul's from this saber mod: http://jkhub.org/files/file/1711-star-wars-hilt-pack/I has also used the Gladius saber from this mod: http://jkhub.org/files/file/2207-gladius-saber/ Is there no way I can go into a file somewhere and increase the MiniHeapSize? I'm not exactly a stranger to modding.
eezstreet Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 This error has been asked about at least a dozen times before, and I might as well sticky this since I'm sure it will be asked again. Basically the error arises is caused by models which are a little too complicated, whether it be through polycount or whatever. There are a few models which are well known to give the issue, including Inyri's Geth Trooper. This is something specific to the models you have installed, nothing to do with hardware or anything like that. However you have some tools to fix the problem:- Lowering the model quality in Video Settings might fix it. - Use OPENJK (builds.openjk.org). This is fixed in every build available.- Fix the offending model manually, although you have to edit the model/glm.
