the_raven
Hi all, I'm new! So, I've got this question: I know that levels are made in GTK Radiant, but is there alternate to make mapping easier? I'm thinking of something along the lines of the SWBF level editor...Any ideas? Link to comment
mrwonko
There's EasyGen for creating terrains, and geometry can also be modeled (e.g. in Blender, which isn't really any easier if you're new to it), but in the end you'll always have to use the Radiant to make it playable. Asgarath83
Draw the building on blender and export as md3 format. it's long but more easer that make it on Radiant.otherwise use ASE. (but i never done, and i not know anyone about that :\ )easygen for terrains. Link to comment
the_raven
...and something that's even simpler? I mean like "select, drag, and drop" kinda stuff... Link to comment
Solution mrwonko Posted April 29, 2015 Solution Share Posted April 29, 2015 Short answer: Bascially no. Long answer: You can import premade geometry ("prefabs") in Radiant, but there isn't much available. You can place the models that come with the game using misc_model, but you'll still have to manually add clip brushes to prevent players from moving through them. Either way you'll still end up having to put a lot of work in. Langerd likes this Link to comment
