z3filus Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Having difficulties with CS:GOThis is supposedly an error easy to fix, but I'm not making any progress. I had a few good matched earlier today in casual and competitive mode, but right now the game is saying that I need to make some changes before playing on VAC secure servers. Steam guides me to this adress:::https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2117-ILZV-2837 <- not helping
Cerez Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 not helping Most likely this is a firewall issue. Do you have any Internet security system installed? See if you can temporarily disable its firewall and allow all traffic in and out, and see if the game starts to work. If it does, you'll need to add exceptions to the game's ports/traffic in your firewall after you re-enable it. If it's not a firewall restriction issue, then re-installing the game may also help fix the problem, or quitting applications running in the background (which is not easy to do on Windows) before you run Steam.
hleV Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 I had the exact same issue the other day, however doing all the steps exactly the way they're written in that Steam troubleshooting page did fix it for me.
eezstreet Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Have you tried doing the other things that it tells you to try?
z3filus Posted April 21, 2015 Author Posted April 21, 2015 Ok, the game is working again, I followed the instructions step by step and I had to restart my PC a few times but it got fixed...
