zahar Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Hate to be noob, but I just can't get it no matter how hard I trying to figure it outSo, jka/jko is open source now, can somebody explain what exactly does it mean?Is jka resources (model, texture etc) open source too? Does it mean that I can legally use this resources for creating non-comerce mods to other games? Or I got all this wrong? Please somebody explain me this stuff
Lancelot Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Jedi Academy and Jedi Outcast aren't open source. Why? Because you still have to buy these games (on Steam oranything like that). Only the source code of both games has been released, which gives you more possibilitiesin modifying the games. It doesn't mean that you can use the games content (models, maps, textures)wherever you want. eezstreet likes this
