About This File
The Ladder is pure, nonstop combat.
- JediNight
(it is not advised to play this if you've not played the full game)
I highly recommend playing this without reading this section of the description, as I believe, SP maps can only be played once for the first time:
After a hearty message from an already dead Darth Vader, you will have to fight your way through endless waves of reborn, each wave progressively tougher than the last. But, you start the map with full saber, your trusty Bryar pistol and some force powers. You will even fight Tavion and, at the very end Admiral Galak Fyyar is waiting for you, angry!
The map features one of the multi-level rooms from the Cairn assemly line, fight your way to the end while everything falls apart!
20 YEARS OF JK2
Happy anniversary Jedi Outcast, and thanks for 20 years of one the best Star Wars games ever made!
INSTALLATION
- Simply place ladder_cake.pk3 in your base directory.
HOW TO PLAY
To load the map do either of the following:
- Bring down the console (SHIFT+~) and type "map ladder_cake"
- Go to your load menu and load the savegame named "ladder_cake"
The music is a bit tongue-in-cheek, but I think it increases the fun level, so crank it up!
CHEATS & SECRETS
It is also just a fun level to mess with as far as spawning in friendly jedi and watching them go at it.
Try binding these console commands to whatever keys you want, then you can spawn in allies on the fly:
(note: first enable cheats by bringing down the console with the SHIFT+~ and typing "helpusobi 1" on the console)
npc spawn jedi
npc spawn jedi2
npc spawn jeditrainer
npc spawn luke
npc spawn jediF
To make enemies ignore you, bring down the console and type "notarget".
There are 2 secret areas with deadly tools to help you through the fight and a "cheat code" you can use to skip to the boss:
- To skip to the final boss you can enter the code "NOCAKE4ME" on the hidden terminal below the side entrance. I added this because I think it's a lot of fun to fight Galak while everything is still intact, I highly advice to try this for a second run!
- Hidden on the roof corner from the main entrance there is a grating where you can find a shield and some detonation packs. Shoot it from afar and crouch-jump to get on it.
- You can break the hidden terminal below the side entrance to unlock another secreat area with another shield and a fully charged repeater to help you fight Galak Fyyar.
Have fun!
