Setting a custom resolution or widescreen in Jedi Outcast or Jedi Academy
Drakan commented on MagSul's tutorial in Console Commands & Cvars
I mean let's be honest it's prob user error Every time I copy and paste the code it from the above post and change the resolution the command does nothing, when I look in the config and change it does nothing, I can't imagine it being anything else at this point. -
88.198.110.9:29070 - Right now we're currently running 16 slots, and you will require the following mod https://jkhub.org/files/file/2216-hydroball-ii/ to join the server, If you want to organize games or play at a more regular occasion please contact me via discord below: https://discord.gg/5CS2heT - Additional Maps and skins can be found on the HB Discord. As the server grows we'll add more maps

Setting a custom resolution or widescreen in Jedi Outcast or Jedi Academy
Drakan commented on MagSul's tutorial in Console Commands & Cvars
I did this and my resolution is 1920x1080 it makes the width of the game to 1920 but keeps the height at default, I play on a laptop and it still gives me the 1024x768 box zoomed into 1920x1080 resolution -
Setting a custom resolution or widescreen in Jedi Outcast or Jedi Academy

I've just tried this on my laptop and it doesn't do anything. Do i need to post anything to get it work. -
Hi Anyone interested in playing Hydroball mod twice a week or so, I'd like to look at putting my old server back up but only if people want to play it. Compliments from my friend, I provide you with a few snapshots from a map we only got to play once.

This is a hard necro post but I remember Inyri having a load of files from pcgamemods.com friend of mine quizzed him/her about it and got in trouble though so it might be worth a shot asking him/her about it.

Knight of the Force Total Conversion
Drakan replied to Petzi's topic in Jedi Knight General Discussions
I remember when he used one of the object models for a cannister did I did a reskin of back in 2010 or something and I told him to take it down and I got a permaban from his website, ipblocked and a big FU letter back from him. Nice guy tim was shame his mod got pulled from every major website including moddb.com because he failed to abide by the rules. -
Anyone having anything from PCGamemods.com?

Well you could do this, i've only seen this done in one of Jenova's maps back in the day but, you could have it so the person who can't escape is teleported to another room with a space background ambience, and there is a mechanic implace that force chokes you out Sort of like a boxed room below __________________ | | | | NPC PLAYER | |_______|__________| One invisable box with a NPC doing infinate choke and an invisable wall so the player can't kill aid NPC or see it. With a space background.
-
Essential you can do what Szico did in one of his older midgar maps with the train, where you have the escape pod go into it, activate a button which shuts/locks the door and then that person gets teleported to a object outside somewhere with a window including a moving background of space or something, you don't need to have windows.
-
Sweet map, I love the old republic, any chance you could get a proper escape pod working which ejects you to your death?

There are quite a few Hyrule Maps for JKA. Give me 10 minutes brb Hyrule: http://uk.gamespot.com/star-wars-jedi-knight-jedi-academy/downloads/6089595/ I did play a map that was in post creation back in 08 which was being used for a Zelda RPG which included Hyrule from OoT including the lon lon ranch / castle / Garudo Valley and the lake, but i'll have to dig through my old server when i get home. If i find the post creation version i'll string it up here if you want to use it as an outline to build your own map.

I think i'm going to start looking for people to help me make a prototype which can be used as a better subtitute then the current Hydroball II, something that allows players and other modders to customise the game in the way they want. Something in the terms of the customisation from Movie battles
-
Well in terms of general movement of the player character, movement underwater and above water and ball animations. I'm not an animator though, will be trying my hand at a few things. A future game mechanic would be that the arena where the game would take place would drain/fill with water into the arena after/before the match starts. Since it's being produced on Unity, The entire game will need to be built up.

JKA is cheap but to do this properly, I need to open the horizon and expand, It might take me 5 years to complete this project but if im able to play hydroball in an open platform in 5 years, I'd definetly go for it. My general inspiration behind standalone sports game is "Empire of Sports", they managed to take some of the best aspect of sport games and throw it all together. Plus i love the things that you can do in Unity.

Hello, Well I started work on a prototype and finished it but it turned out that whilst it did work, I can't actually release the version as it requires you to download assets from the actual game which in turn, turns it into a free copy of JKA. In the end it was more or less Hydroball II, the only feature I couldn't get to work is the melee code for it, it was a little bit messy but it has the catch and grab mechanic, but powering up to do a power shot was in there. So I re-assessed the situation and a came to a conclusion with two new engines. Unity offers us a web browser interface which also means we could potentially port it to the mobile devices like iPad. UDK also offers up the same but to release UDK on the iPad we would have to enter into a agreement with Epic/Apple and then it get's messy. As of this moment, the actual mod re-make is currently done/over/discontinued but I will be continuing this as a standalone game project moving to a new engine etc and looking for more people to sign their soul away to me to help build it. If you're interested just shoot me a private message, going to re-structure the main topic to attract people :_)

Well Rich has given me permission to use the name Hydroball and to continue work on a new standalone project. He did explain to me that the source code is lost but it hasn't taken me long to rebuild a standardized version of the mod. There's nothing really to show at the moment since it's just the two teams setup. I'm doing this little by little but hopefully will have a working project by the summer holidays.
-
Sent an message to Rich, just waiting on a solid response. In the mean time, I'm going to dig out alot of the old maps that we're never released and see if any work needs to be done on them. I'll keep this area up to date.
-
I think one of my old mappers has it, I'm just discussing it with him right now to see if he still has it if not I may have it on one of my old machines from the stone age. But unfortunately even if we have it we can only use it as reference since the mod was originally created by Rich Whitehouse.

Well is the server going to be up all the time, because currently when i connect to it, it says i require JKGalaxies and I don't play that mod.

I could most likely put the old BEC Server back up if people are going to commit to playing on it, Falgorn used to host our old one but it dwindled for a good few months and it wasn't worth money/time. It won't be until October that it would go up though. I've had a quick skim through the topic and seen that their is a large amount of people that are interested, but if the server goes up it will mainly be a 12/12 slot server, due to money/bandwidth give or take the intrest over a 2/4 period of the year it would be extend. Thoughts anyone?
