  1. Well if you were on windows I would say that hide file extensions was turned on but since you're on a Mac I don't think that applies.

Oh it applies it just took me forever to figure it out. but yeah if i control i, i can fix it now. the only thing is now when the tutorial says "after it zips remove the other folders, you dont need

them anymore. " I can't figure out if he means remove the rest of the folders that are not labeled "models" or if he means something else. I tried removing every other folder except "models" but now my game just crashes after putting the pk3 into base. What am I doing wrong?

  2. I can't find anything but if I could find a converter somehow to make the .txt file back to a .skin and for the .zip to actually go to a .pk3

    I think it may work.

it just seems once I change those files at first, simply editing the extension will not change it back

  3. Okay so I found a tutorial on how to do sp for Jedi Outcast http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/935881-star-wars-the-best-of-pc/faqs/24960

I was trying to get the finn from this mod to replace kyle

    https://jkhub.org/files/file/2814-poe-dameron-finn/

    the steps were making sense

BUT upon getting to the last step saying

"After you are done, save the file and then rename it back to
"model_default.skin" Alright, good job, you finished the hard part. Go
back to your folder set, the one with models in it. Zip it up into something
like "darkkylesp.zip" after it zips remove the other folders, you dont need
them anymore. Rename your .zip file to a .pk3, then move it into your
    C/program files/lucasarts/jedi outcast/gamedata/base directory! When you start
play you will be playing as the character you just edited! "

So when I renamed the zip file pk3 I put it in base, fired up jko and nothing..

it seems like there are two things i noticed when I was doing this, 1. when I renamed the model_default.txt back to model_default.skin it stayed as a text file..

    2. When I zipped the model folder and renamed it to .pk3 it still looks like a .zip as if renaming it didn't do anything

by the way I should mention I am on Mac

Any ideas on how to make it work??

  4. I have no idea how to do that. I've looked into it but most of the steps seem to require programs that only work on pc not mac. It doesn't even have to be an entirely new model but if someone did a replacement with Hapslash's episode 3 Obi Wan it would work perfect and his ep 3 hilt replacing katarn's.
