Hmm... in light of my new findings, The Force Awakens is actually not a bad movie at all. Sure it's not OT, but it's not that far off. It will all come together in the sequel this year. The problem was that they kept the first installment way too hush-hush in the series, afraid to give away any plot points at all. The story is actually not that bad.

Hmm... point taken about the jacket! Good call. Jacket stolen, hence thief. Not sure how I missed that. (Probably because there are so many things to keep an active track of in the film...) About the dead-but-not-dead thing -- that doesn't make a good film or story. Name a good movie that has this in such a way that it doesn't give you any hints that the character may have survived.
