The reason Ahsoka couldn't feel Barriss' presence at the scene of the crime was because by that time Barriss' aura had changed, and she had completely turned to the Dark Side.

Barriss using bona isn't canon now. I checked the page and it WAS sent to her in expanded universe material (could tell by mention of the droid I-Five.) I don't think she's jealous of Ahsoka, either--she did save their lives but it was a team effort. Barriss was stronger than her too, given how she nearly destroyed her at the end of their duel--probably tactically as well.
