I don't have any maps though or files, it's a pity, BD was so epic and the maps were amazing.

After BD I also had some fun mapping (one kinda inspired on old days - RK Oriental Virtue  - google it), skinning and having a good clan around.

Bots aren't designed to sit in spectator.

 

I think with JA+ and JA++ there's a way to force not names in a cvar or something.

 

Why not put this info in an auto message plugin with JA++ (shows up at intervals in chat or center print)?

That was the plan b to be honest KInda removed the bots "voice" with a pk3 i made but its a good idea.

i'm trying to make a bot configuration for the server that would work in the following way:

- 4 Bots (with clan info - forum, facebook, server ip, recruiting) on spec.

- 4 Bots playing.

The thing is. I'm using a cfg with the following data:

This works perfect when i'm at the server and i rcon exec this cfg. Still when i check server, lets say in the morning, there are 8 playing bots with regular bot names and none of them are in spec.

Any way to keep those specific 4 bots always in spec? (maybe locking spec team dunno)

Hello JKHub Community!

Gladly i can say RK is back on track to be an active, friendly and respectable place and clan for the JKA community.

In the past we're focused on Jedi • Sith • Mandalorian factions with Full Force and Guns server.

Nowadays we have a 32 slots server that tries to give players a good and friendly place to be. We have Saber FFA's and Dueling and FF (we will try to keep FF on Alternative Dimension as bots so can keep order on the server.

We are still starting again so with time ranks and other management aspects will be deal with. For now we have a Management group with Leaders and Councillors and RK members.

We will be hosting or participating on clan fights - tffa, guns fights in some jk2 and jk3 maps, saber tournaments, etc.
It all depends on the time of each member but we will try to get more members, but essentially have fun and be part of a positive community who want to keep the game alive and well.

We have Multiplayers regular maps modded (especially ffa3 with academy, taspir arena, rooftops, secret area (behind ffa3 gate at top), and another room for dueling or just zen being.

It should be whatever is next to the 1 on the left in the steam version.

Tried also but nothing though.

The default keys i've tried them all.

What keys do you normally use? Can you type a ~ normally everywhere else? Might have to add in an Option key or Function key in there.

Yea i can type it everywhere using Fn and ~ key.

Still using this or shift fn and ~ key wont work.

Tried to put a jampconfig.cfg on the steam installation folder / base nothing.

i've been playing with the alternative installation copy i have with openjk app launcher.

Sounded to me like he said he's using the Steam copy of the game (assets) with OpenJK.

 

I think people still like UU for the music player or w/e.

Steam version would need to be SHIFT + ~ though.

 

I don't see a point in UU nowadays though.

Well my only use for UU nowadays would be chatstyle configuring (any command for this one) and server rcon commands and favorites.

I have a steam version (normal) and a jka version downloaded with openjk.

The steam one doesnt even let me open the console with all the keys i normally use.

I use a Portuguese layout - Mac.

Apparently wine doesnt even open the setup installation file.

I use OpenJk to open the game. I have a legit steam version of the game but i cant open console on this one.

Well being a revive, yes at this moment it will be smaller on activity, still contacting old members and all of that.

Some clans mate are expert on ddos matters, i will talk to them about this point.

I remember there was a protection for servers, Jaas. Still lot of work going on. But the provider seems fine by me. Used gamingdeluxe on the past. Now i'm trying this one, especially for the 32 slots for cheap price.

Bluefangsolutions is such an amazing provider and very affordable too!

So far, the support was quick and effective. Don't know how they will be handling on bigger problems.

I'm reviving a old clan of mine and to do so i bought a server on bluefangsolutions for two reasons, especially:

- Cheap price for 32slots

- Allows to choose the installation mod.

Even if am used to set servers of ja+ and learnt from here and there on the past, i choose to set one with the mod OpenJK, but now i get some situations going on.

I'm using a mac, and recently bought Jedi Academy for steam. I've also a JKA installed version with openjk on my computer.

On the 1st step i changed the basic settings inside the ftp/openjk/server.cfg folder for the normal ones (server name, rcon, maxclients)

The server appears online but in the steam version of jka appears this:

On my openjk jka version appears this one:

And then No or bad challenge for your adress.

How can i solve this?


The only cfg i got its a ja+ one. Any chance to apply it on this server?
Any lights for a perfect experience on this OpenJK server settings will be so helpfull. Thank you for your help in advance.

About the console, problem solved

About the profile, yes the writeconfig works. Did the /writeconfig name.cfg and /exec name.cfg.

But i don't have any folder on Application Support called openjk so...

And even the writeconfig its working , when i leave and enter the game it cant' execute it anymore.. any thoughts on this? Thx
 

Hello everyone.
I was a regular player and somehow jka contributor on the past with some maps, skins, cosmetic mods, etc, and i've always played the game on a windows system.

Recently for profissional reason, and after some while away, i've bought a mac , and installed the game, applying the openjk to open it.

Sometimes the profile info (name, keys, etc.) disappears on game entering.
Some idea on this?  How can i save my profile on openjk as i did on ja+? when i do /write profilename it gets an unknown message.

Do openjk and ja+ get along fine ?
Also anyway to bind the toggleconsole just for one key, it appears to open on several keys (' ~etc,)

Zombie! Red team (1 Player aka Zombie) vs all other blue players (Humans).

30 secs for the blue team to hide.

Once a blue gets killed by the zombie or whatever he goes to the red team, last human wins and become the zombie in the next round. Kinda hide and seek too.
