Delta-573 Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Hello there.I have a little question. My JKA works fine with widescreen (1920x1080)When I start the game with OpenJK, I only get this standard resolutions from JKA. And that looks really ugly xDCan you help me, what I have to do? Or have you an idea, what I'm doing wrong?
SomaZ Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 R_mode -2 will give you borderless windowed Mode, else r_mode -1, r_customwidth 1920, r_customheight 1080. Smoo likes this
Delta-573 Posted September 3, 2017 Author Posted September 3, 2017 Sry, I forget to say, OpenJK MP with widescreen works fine, but the openjk_sp didnt. And everything you write is already in the jaconfig inside the OpenJk file. No idea, why it didnt work.
Corto Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 I'm using OpenJK as base for Jedi Academy, Jedi Outcast and the Dark Forces mod and I get my custom resolution alright. The only issue is that all the assets have been created for a 4:3 aspect ratio and using custom resolutions distorts most UI elements.
Delta-573 Posted September 3, 2017 Author Posted September 3, 2017 If you mean, to put the OpenJK files inte the base folder, I tried this, but nothing changed.
Corto Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Just ignore those .cfg. OpenJK saves the .cfg in My Documents/My Games/OpenJK/*whatevermodyouaretalkingabout*. If you make changes in the config files placed on the base or mods folders, they will be ignored completely.
Delta-573 Posted September 3, 2017 Author Posted September 3, 2017 Okay, thank you. Now it works. I get now an error called SV_SetUserinfo: bad index 970. Maybe because of some files I changed, when I tried to fixe the widescreen. But perhaps, the esayst way to fix is an new installation. Maybe you have also an answer for that, but first of all, thank you!
Smoo Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 R_mode -2 will give you borderless windowed Mode, else r_mode -1, r_customwidth 1920, r_customheight 1080.i thought -2 was just for native resolution, didn't realise it was for borederless window mode
SomaZ Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 i thought -2 was just for native resolution, didn't realise it was for borederless window mode Ah, you are right. It's just the native resolution. Smoo likes this
ensiform Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 OpenJK does not use jaconfig. For MP it's just "openjk.cfg", for SP: "openjk_sp.cfg" afaik. Also, these files are located in your Documents folder. You'll want to look for "My Games" and "OpenJK" then the base folder. Smoo likes this
