ZanderNao
I use several laptops and a PC to film my Star Wars machinima, but for some reason in openJK the laptops cannot see my PC when it hosts a game. This is unfortunate since the PC is the strongest computer and having it be the server would make the most sense. The laptops can see it in vanilla JAMP, just not openJK.I've had the same issues on a variety of networks, routers, and network settings. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the port.Does anyone have an idea of what is going on? Link to comment
ensiform
There's no difference in network settings. Sounds like you never accepted the Windows firewall pop-up on first launch maybe. Link to comment
ZanderNao
If the PC can join games hosted on the other computers, wouldn't it be receiving and sending data through the firewall?Though on second examination, you appear to be right. Let me experiment. Link to comment
ZanderNao
Well... I suppose everyone has blind spots. You were completely right. The firewall prompt must have popped up behind it, and somehow gotten accepted that first time... I switched it to accept and all is better. I made such a mess of the forums, lol. But thanks Ensiform, you helped me solve the problem. Smoo likes this Link to comment
