Someone fancy making me a couple of simple textures?

I suck at photoshop, so thought I would ask here before resorting to making my own.

I need a couple of signs that will direct players to bomb sites in my upcoming map SD_tatooine.

here are the signs I need:

  • A
  • A ->
  • <- A

(Written in green)

and

  • B
  • B ->
  • <- B

(Written in yellow)

preferably it should look like writing on metal. I don't mind what style you go with, it could look like someone has spray painted it, like it was printed, or whatever.

The images need to be jpgs, any size is fine, I will adjust them to make the game use them as textures. Obviously, I will give you credit in the readme and such.

Anyone up for it?

Looks neat, would need permission for the background though. Could use something from base jka, if you need a source. (try assets1.pk3 textures/imperial textures/factory textures/vjun)

Wouldn't it be the best to use the same texture as a background you use for the rest of the map? :P

I was going to mount it on like a metal sign, rather than the walls.

Aw okay... well I guess someone else here will be able to make something better anyway xD

but you are the only person who offered xD

remember, if I have to do it myself it will look like this:

I can do it, but not metal like that, im more suited to cell shaded maps

What kinda thing do ya mean?

Why not just make some no draw brushes extended one solitary unit from your wall and texture the faces with .pngs? Like these...

...

Then you could have them over any texture you want, rather than be limited to some background.

That works too aye. Now throw me matching Bs xD

I could even make a glow for them if you want.

That could be quite neat actually, seeing as its a night time map.

Want me to send you a .rar with the images psds and a shader script to make them work?

Would be awesome, aye, but psds wont be nescecary, just save them as tgas or pngs or whatever file type it is you need for the shader to work.
