TUTORIAL ON HOW TO RETEXTURE A MODEL

Retexturing a model is very useful sometimes, for example if you have a statue, and want it better fit your map.

I wanted to make a quick tutorial on how to make a statue look as if it was carved into the brush itself ( a wall ).

To do this, you will first need to create a brush and carve a hole for your model,  using the Clipper.

Select the model and hit the N button on your keyboard. This will open a window called " Entities "

In there you will see: key and value.  Both already have something written in, clear the boxes and write:

key: _remap
value: *;[texture]

FOR EXAMPLE
key: _remap
value: *;textures/factory/basic1

See image below

The * in this case means that all textures will be remapped. You can also enter a specific texture to remap instead and use _remap2, _remap3 etc. to replace more than one with different new textures.

This kind of thing should go to the wiki in my opinion, by the way, makes these kinds of additions easier.
