Imperial Captain Rex 1.0 - RELEASED

You have an interesting start here. I have a few suggestions at this moment:

1) Change the color to a darker blue-purple color, the bright blue really doesn't fit with Rex.

2) Adding the "eye" marks on his helmet would also be a nice touch.

3) You could also make the area around the lenses that blue-purple color.

4) Adjust the color of the pauldron a bit.

 

This color code should give you Rex's color. Plug this into whatever image editor your using, and it should hopefully work.

 

Hue: 234
Saturation: 32
Lightness: -53

 

I really like the idea you have in mind but adding some more details would really help with this guy.

Also, I'm not sure how well I'd do trying to get that symbol on the top of his helmet if that's the "eye" mark you refer to. The texture allows for too little space to put something of the sort on there. As for the color around the visor, should be do-able.

Yes, those are the ones I am referring to. I have yet to really work on any particular object in that area of the helmet yet, but I would think it could be possible. You can experiment around with it and see what you can get. Here is a reference shot of the head/eye things from the Phase II armor:

They can be a bit smaller since the Stormtrooper helmet is a different shape than the Phase I and II helmets.

Piece of advice. Post your work on here before releasing it. We can give you our opinions and advice and help you get it the best it can be, then you can release it.

 

Releasing one version, then changing tiny things with each version number can be a bit mundane and counter-productive.
