Problem with Radiant 1.4 asking for shaders.

Okay so i've managed to get models into Radiant and such but in Radiant 1.4 it tells me that the shader is missing, in other versions there's no issue.  Why would i want to use 1.4 you may ask?  Because i use it to just throw out a rough map from 3DS Max and such.

Anyway, has anybody else ever had the same problem with that particular version or am i just doing something wrong?

Maybe your 1.4 is just not configured correctly?

Why would you want to use 1.4 anyway?

As i said, it allows me to map everything in 3DS and then put it into Radiant, the other ones don't seem to like the exporter.

Maybe it is configured incorrectly, my prefab path is blank in my preferences but i don't know if that's the issue.

You can model an environment and import it from a 3d package into any form of radiant as long as the model assets are a format that q3map2 can use and the texture paths are correct. 1.3.12, 1.4.0, 1.5.0 it doesn't matter...

As for missing shaders, your radiant is configured incorrectly. Make sure the game path is correct for Jedi Academy.

I can't find a place to change the path in preferences though.

Project settings i think is in the file menu. You should really use 1.5 though.

I've tried to map in 3ds max and I find its a lot more time consuming than just mapping in radiant.

For me it's the other way around lol.

http://eliteforce2.filefront.com/file/GTKRadiant;26097  <---Should have all the paths set up correctly upon a default install for jka...

I had problems with this when I tried to get GTK to work with Tremulous, and managed to get it to work details about what I had to do can be found here: http://tremulous.net/forum/index.php?topic=9284.0

However, the paths/shaders are different due to the fact its tremulous not jka, so adjust accordingly.
