Stuck on starting up / How to create online game

I have two problems.

 

1. When I try to create a game, or do a solo game, I get stuck on "Starting up...". This results in the game crashing. I have no idea how to fix this...? BTW, I can join other online games just fine. 

 

Also, I would like to create a server for myself and a few buddies to play on, how do I do this? Can I create a game and have others join it, or do I need to host a dedicated server? If I need a dedicated server, where are the resources/download files located in order to do that?

You need to get a download for a dedicated server. It's quite easy. Go to the jk3files website and search for it.

 

You'll need to create a text file with a bunch of coding to set up your server. I can help you more about that in PM.

In case you're one of those who can't access jk3files...You'll also need to open a server port on your router/firewall.

 

If your solo game is crashing its usually due to too much crap (mods etc) in your base.
