alternative mediacenters compatible with xbox 360 for win xp/linux?

Geppie wavin, i was just wondering if there are any media centers besides the windows media center

that will work with the xbox 360?

 

i tried mediaportal, it wouldnt install, i tried plex, installed but wouldnt launch the webgui

setup, lol.

 

I have xbmc on linux, but it's not compatible with the 360 as it requires you to put in a numeric code for activation.

XP: Media Center Edition only

Vista: Home Premium/Ultimate

Windows 7: All except Starter and Home Basic

Windows 8: Pro only (as an add-on)

I havent tried xbmc on windows xp yet, but i'll have to try it.

 

the closest i can get to a media center on linux is streamin to the 360 via ushare on linux
