Spirtikus Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 You’ve seen the movies, you’ve played the games – now fully immerse yourself in the Star Wars Saga like never before.Introducing: Star Wars Roleplay, a Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy community born from fans and enthusiasts alike. Born in February of 2013, Star Wars Roleplay was created with the intention of providing its member base with a fun, fair, and engaging environment for both the casual and hardcore fan alike. Using a newly designed faction system, along with our reworked story progression method and updated modification, the fate of the galaxy is ultimately driven by one person – you. It is the year 356 ABY, and while the events of Return of the Jedi have passed on into history, the galaxy is still as volatile as ever. Enlist as an Initiate in the budding New Jedi Order, as they attempt to assist the reborn New Republic in establishing peace throughout the galaxy. Perhaps it is your destiny to one day reach the rank of Master, instructing other younglings in the ways of the Order. Or perhaps you seek to walk a darker path, where the ways of deception and power reign? Train as a Sith Acolyte in the hidden sect of the New Sith Order, causing chaos wherever you go. Perhaps one day, you may even be called a Lord of the Sith.Factions on the brink of war, corruption and fear on the rise – will you bring the galaxy to an era of peace? Or bring it back to the grips of darkness? – The choice is yours. Join us!http://sw-rp.com/index.phpSWRP.com balances forum activity along with the game Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy to assist in a fulfilling experience. If you are not familiar with the Open Jedi Project for Jedi Academy, this is the primary base for our SWRP mod. Bringing you the realistic lightsaber combat of OJP 1.2, we have made our own improvements that include several bug fixes, roleplay enhancements, and general updates. These include: localized chat system that factors in distance, as well as specific channels for IC Speech, OOC Speech, and more. Up to seven realistic lightsaber forms to select from! And last but not least, teleportation command for easy travel.Unfortunately, there is simply too much information to fit into one advertisement, so we encourage you to visit us at the domain listed above. From there you can find various guides and regulations that describe how things work exactly and what our expectations are. We hope that you can enjoy us on this great adventure – we’re thoroughly excited to make this journey together!Sincerely,The SWRP Team. negru_tudor likes this

Sinead Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Hello everyone. I'm the main developer of the SW-RP modification, and a member of the Management team behind this community. We are currently working on creating a video that shows the combat system in action and the roleplaying features of this mod. If you find yourself interested in this modification and community, by all means - please feel free to register on our forum. We rarely bite. If you do not know / have not heard about the original modification then I suggest you to look at some of these videos, as they will give you an overview of the combat system we are actively modifying, with the help of a former Open Jedi Project developer. (The seven lightsaber forms selectable.) (Combat tutorial/instructions) (Another visually (not gameplay) modified Open Jedi Project mod) As I mentiond earlier, if you're interested, drop by! Regards,Sinead.
Fuse294 Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 I wanna know what happened to Endless conflicts...every community you make seems to die so quickly heh (Talking from experience in 5/6 of them in the past). MB2 Beta Tester / MB2 FA Assistant Dev
Sinead Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 I wanna know what happened to Endless conflicts...every community you make seems to die so quickly heh (Talking from experience in 5/6 of them in the past).Figures. The Endless Conflict community still exists to this date. We (sw-rp) have simply decided to take a different approach. - Furthermore, to avoid any confusion: Shamilovic (Spirtikus) is not a member of the Management, he simply represents our community advertisement on this board.
Razgriz Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 I wanna know what happened to Endless conflicts...every community you make seems to die so quickly heh (Talking from experience in 5/6 of them in the past). We share your sentiment as a matter of fact. After a lengthy period of time a few brave members attempted once again to bring revival to Jedi Knight Roleplay. At first everyone is overcome with nostalgia and filled with memories of "the good old days". However that fades fast, and the same problems rise to the surface once more which ultimately lead to the communities' collapse. With Endless Conflict's creation we saw that the interest in JKRP still existed, but that again, the same problems remained. That is when Sinead and I decided to tackle these problems head on, one by one, and create a community that has the necessary resources and framework to succeed for a long, long time. Many of the issues with OJP such as the height bug, combat bugs, and force power bugs have been resolved. The other features that we have added will only enhance the experience with proper channels (IC, OOC, Yell, Force Communication so there is no more need for brackets, etc.) and distanced chat healthily resolves the unfortunate issue of metagaming. We also have completely reworked the faction and story system to encourage players to be active during the week, not just an event that occurs once every seven days. With that being said, we encourage you to check out the site or ask more questions here. We'll be happy to answer. Sinead likes this
