Strange fonts

Hello dear brothers and sisters in saber,

 

I have come to you because of unnusual, unreadible fonts that I have problem with in chat.

Here you can see how it looks like:

 

Probably it has to do with some settings in particular servers, In some (for example in JOFtemple) i don't have that problem.

Before and after I have installed any mod I had same issue so that is not the case.

 

Any ideas?

Yeah, it looks like they're merely speaking in a different language.

It's like when people from Russia come on or something.. it's the way their keyboards are setup.

Well maybe it is so but it happens so often that it is hard for me to believe that there is so many russians or chinese or whatever.

Jedi Academy is not a USA-only game. Most of the people I play with are from different countries..

So who's to say they don't simply type in their own language? O.o

Yup, that'd be Russian (or a different Cyrillic language). JKA handles fonts weirdly, so instead of seeing the Russian characters those players see, you see strange characters like that if you're on the English version. Using http://jkhub.org/fil...ian-string-fix/ will show you the stuff they're actually typing, but comes with the side effect of breaking characters with accents.
