About This File

Description:

This is an astromech droid skin pack. These skins are rather meant to be for solo mod developers.

  • R2-A6
  • R2-D2
  • R2-D2 Imp
  • R2-R9
  • R5-J2 Imp
  • R5-D2
  • R5-X2
  • R5-M2

Installation:

In order to replace the existing droid skins with these ones, you just have to go in the folder “Base” (you’ll find it in the jedi academy directory), open the file “assets1.pk3” with “Pakscape” then go to “Models” and then “R5 Units” and replace model’s textures by the one you wish. Keep in mind that you have to keep the original name of the texture.

You’ll just have to save “assets1.pk3” and the texture will be changed.

This pack reminds me, that at one point I wanted to make a mod, which makes all the droids, which are already seen on the JA maps, changed in their appearance, so that there were more than 3 variations of astromechs. The same about protocol droids.

What we need is a script to set it to randomly select a skin. I can set the colors to random but not the pattern.
