  1. if i remember correct it is a semi sniper in bf2 :) but there is a scope on it also. in bf1 it was more a blaster type then a sniper but im not sure, i have not played with it yet in bf2, just seeing it in the sniper class only

Nope, it does not. I'm pretty sure that the sniper class has DLT-20s instead.

  2. I think I'll wait some months before I buy the game to have a more clear view of the amount of content at launch and of what influence will microtransations have (called "crystals" in game, according to the game files). About the heroes, it's insane that Yoda and Darth Maul will be the only prequel ones at launch, especially since it had been recently confirmed that Bossk will already be available, and he's a minor character. Some units need some balancing too, like the flametrooper.

If anyone's interested, 41st legion decals have been found in the game files: https://jkhub.org/images/V1iM6AK.png

I'm pretty sure a "rebellion AT-RT" with orange markings has been found too, but I didn't save the picture.

  3. More leaks, but watch out for campaign spoilers.

"Venator bridge" sounds like a fun map, and I'm glad to see that the TX130 is finally canon. It would also appear that each faction will have at least 3 different starfighter models, each one with a different role (for example, the CIS has the Vulture droid, Hyena bomber and Tri-Fighter, the rebel alliance has the X-Wing, Y-Wing and A-Wing, and so on).

  4. that's a real shame. I thought they were touting how there'd be so much more customization than before? does this mean that its going to be on the same level as EA Battlefront where it's boiled down to a few skins? was hoping for some kind of separate accessories/armor paint option at least.

@@Necrolifer I don't understand the sentiment that you and others I've seen in this community share that actually doing something new with Star Wars instead of continuing stories from the EU, that for the most part, have already reached their conclusion, is a bad thing. if anything, that need to constantly reference old parts of the Star Wars legacy is whats putting me off from the new films. the only time I've seen a successful re-integration of something from the EU is Thrawn in Rebels, but that's most likely because Timothy Zahn had creative input and David Filoni has a lot of respect for that character and story.

it may not be a popular decision but there was really no way to go about it if Disney wanted to expand the Star Wars universe and not be beholden to a miriad of stories that have a great variation in quality. in addition, because the original creative team of some of your favourite parts of the EU would most likely no longer be available, any sort of re-integration is most likely doomed to disappoint and be a shadow of its former self. for example, I can't see Kreia coming back in her nuanced and compelling glory unless Chris Avellone was directly responsible.

Some customization would be good, but I personally can't think about anything but skins for the separatist, imperial and first order classes if they wanna keep it "lore-friendly". Hopefully we might see something more for the other factions.

I totally agree with you about the EU. What some people tend to forget is that Pablo Hidalgo confirmed some time ago that in Lucas' plans for the sequel trilogy he was not going to consider the old EU at all, it would have been a "fresh start" like Disney's. Also, if a story is classified as Legends it doesn't mean that it's dead and non canonical, as proven by the fact that a pretty good part of KOTOR (the mandalorian wars, the sith wars, the Rakata empire..) is already canon by simply being referenced in the new content.

  5. It just "feels" like a Battlefield turned Battlefront, you know. Those gameplay elements are far more similar to Battlefield than the older Battlefront games. From the way your character moves around the map,to the absolute pointless, artificial starfighter battles(Battlefront 2 had SPACE battles,by the way). Some features were included just to be there, and to think how overly hyped the game was and now the same with Battlefront 2 at the E3. Pathetic.

Loads of DLCs and patches instead of a full, functional and well designed game, these people treat their fans like shit, let's be honest here.

I don't understand what you mean with "the way the character moves around the map", it doesn't seem to be any different to any other shooter to me. If by "artificial starfighter battles" you mean the lock-on, I didn't like it either, but that doesn't have anything to do with Battlefield.

  6. I can respect your opinion, but I have to disagree with the "purposefully wanted to distance it from Battlefield" part. They didn't! They wanted a cheap Battlefield turned Battlefront, and they delivered it. Disney basically extended a huge middle finger to the fans by vaporizing the EU and creating an insulting game to the legacy of the first two Battlefront games. How does anyone take Disney seriously these days is beyond me.  No more Jedi Knight,no more Revan and the Old Republic,no more Kyle Katarn...  This is sacrilege.

Also, many of these "new" features were already present in the older Battlefront 2.

May I ask you what are the gameplay elements that make you think of it as a "Battlefield clone"? I agree with Dementous, one of the biggest issues is how they tried to add several characteristics (such as the lack of classes and the star cards) to make it look original when compared to other EA FPS games. The new one looks promising, but I'm still skeptical about the campaign. I'll wait for a price drop and some reviews before buying it.

EDIT: It would also appear that, according to the developers, Battlefront II won't have many customization options for the classes on launch. Honestly, that's great news to me, it will keep it more realistic to the movies. The helmet-less troopers on the first one kinda broke the atmosphere.

  7. Highpoly is somewhat done, except for that underpart which can be extended... I can't decide whether I should add it or not, since it resembles the vanilla JKA gun a lot more like this. What do you think?

Other than this, just slight detail work is needed for this, some parts that are gonna help me texture easier later on. Thanks to @@Seven, it was really easy to recreate this gun because of the model he provided.

Looks great! I personally prefer it with the extendable stock as it looks better and it's movie accurate. BTW, how can you be SO fast? lol

But the new one? I thought it won't include the lable "Legends", because it was planned to include locations such as D'Qar from Episode VII. Though you might be right, and all of that is still Legends. Thought truthfull legends, if you ask me. :P

Ohhhh wait you mean this one? http://a.dilcdn.com/bl/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2016/06/star-wars-complete-locations.jpg

Everything included should be canon, but keep that it might be "updated and expanded", so some stuff might be different from the original versione (like in the Character Encyclopedia I think).

  9. Some sources have leaked the names – of the planet and the ships.

Jedibibliothek shared some new images from a Rogue One: A Star Wars Story book, today. BookManager.com has posted preview images of the book. The coolest part is we get a name for one of the worlds of Rogue One, Scarif. According to the preview pages, the Death Star is being constructed on the “secluded world, the planet Scarif.

With the new atlases and encyclopedias to be released (and which will include data on TFA and Rogue One), we can officially say, that a lot of things are coming back to SW Canon. I saw the excerpts from the new book, and I saw several pages copied one by one from the illustrated guide for Episodes I-VI. The Cantina on Tatooine seems to belong to Chalmun, the wookie, as it was stated before, and we can even assume, that Ackmena (night shift female bartender) from SW Holiday Special would be still present there (like on the picture in the same book before).

Which new book are you talking about? If you are talking about the Complete Visual Dictionary when you say "illustrated guide for Episodes I-VI" that's Legends

  10. By default the game made me use a VERY low resolution and I could hardly see the enemies from far away, so in the dosbox_DF.conf I set "fullresolution=1920x1080".

The problem is that the screen became very small with very large black borders. I tried in 1024x720 too but it just made the borders smaller.

It's also worth noting that using any scaler aside of "2xsai" (that sucks in my opinion) makes the DOS emulator crash.

If I'm not wrong the Steam version (I tried it time ago thanks to the "steam family") automatically supported high resolutions like these ones. I hope some of you know a fix for this issue. Thanks in advice!
