TacoMan Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Hello everyone, fresh taco here.Recently I revisited jk3, a game very special for me. Multiplayer is awesome and the community of this game is even more awesome and still going hella strong! But you already know that stuff...I tried playing SP, but I found it basically unplayable. The responsiveness and fluidity of MP is nowhere to be found :/I tried jka:enhanced that supposedly transferred MP movement to SP...but it doesn't really make a huge difference, when I walk around It's like sliding on ice and saber attacks seem somewhat unresponsive, I think my main problem is mostly the friction thing though. After 2-3 days of scouting google I found close to nothing to fix this problem, and I want to replay SP so badly...but with controls like that, I get freaking pissed instead of enjoying this great game! Now, I feel beaten and exhausted, but I still don't wanna give up! The only chance I got left is the community, you guys. ANY HELP WOULD BE EXTREMELY APPRECIATED!! Help me jk's community, you're my only hope!
Circa Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 You have to enable MP movement in JK:E. Can't remember the command for it. @@redsaurus would know, if he's still around. Try searching for it in the console by typing cvarlist *move and see what pops up. I agree though, SP movement is just awful compared to MP.

I did in fact enable MP movement, it's just that It didn't came close to the ''real thing'', you know? What I wanna know is if there's anyone out there that knows of a different method of achieving something closer than JK:E did. Like maybe someone coded the thing in private or something idk. Or maybe someone has some modding files that are difficult to find. Anything!
Guest Redemption Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Now, this may not be what your after but, this will get rid of the sliding/friction. Type in the console g_speed 157. For the npc's, check in the base folder and open assets pk3's, look for ext_data, npc something. In there you will find run and walk speeds for them. That will steer you in the right direction anyways
TacoMan Posted November 30, 2017 Author Posted November 30, 2017 That surprisingly helped quite a bit, thank you! It's still not the same but I think now It's much more manageable
