Vegeta Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 (edited) Hi, almost half of the time I export a terrain map from easygen and get it in game, I notice that a few of the triangles have shifted angles slightly, thus exposing the skybox below the map in some places. I've always just dealt with it by covering those specific triangles up with other decorative brushwork, however sometimes that doesn't work so easily. I was hoping someone who has experienced this issue before has any advice to offer, or perhaps even a solution altogether. Thanks in advance. Here are a few pics for those who are curious to see... Vegeta Posted August 6, 2015 Author Posted August 6, 2015 Could you post a screenshot of the problem? Added some to the end of my first post.
mrwonko Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I remember this problem, though I'm not entirely sure what causes it. May be off-grid vertices. Can you set EasyGen to snap to 8 unit increments? I don't have it installed so I can't check. (Why don't I have it installed?)
Vegeta Posted August 8, 2015 Author Posted August 8, 2015 Ah yes, I think you were right. I ended up manually recreating the few triangles that were glitched, but I definitely think that using an 8 grid unit snap would have solved the problem as well.
