Pretty sure that means you have too many models in your base folder.

 

Considering the fact that you're using KOTF, which is just a huge collection of dozens of models, I'd say that's the issue for sure.

No. The issue is because of a too complex model. MP uses twice as large of a transform stack as SP, so if a model works in MP, it isn't necessarily working in SP. Use OpenJK. This issue is fixed there.
