eezstreet Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Our rules on porting have relaxed a little bit. Please see the rules section for the change: When you submit your file, you are aware that you take full responsibility for the content you upload and any files you outsource must have permission granted to you from the authors whom created the content originally. If a file is determined by the community to be ported, it will be up to the staff and the file author to discern how much of the file's content is actually ported. If a file is determined to be a direct port (original textures, sounds, maps, models, etc) with no contribution from the author, the file will be immediately removed. Each file which contains ported content will be dealt with on a case by case basis, however the staff will not actively check each file to see if it's ported. therfiles, Omicron and Mandalorian like this
Omicron Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I guess this means I can upload my male twi'lek when I get home, as only the head is ported iirc, and even then, it's been retextured. Raz0r likes this
Xycaleth Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Just out of interest, and I'm sure other people are interested as well, what was the reasoning behind relaxing the rules?
eezstreet Posted May 13, 2014 Author Posted May 13, 2014 I've always had an issue with them since they were changed a while ago. They were way too vague and stiff. I wrote up this change and we voted on it.
