Akimoto Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I am looking to purchase a graphic card. It seems that I get most out of my money by getting the "Sapphire Radeon R9 280X 3GB GDDR5".Opinions?
Onysfx Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 @@Akimoto I recommend this card, it's the one I currently have. http://www.notebookcheck.net/ATI-Radeon-Xpress-X1200.3775.0.htmlheheh

Tempust85 Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Yeah it was, ignore him rofl. I would think that card you want to get is fine, but I'm an NVIDIA man. Onysfx likes this

Tempust85 Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Maybe this will help: http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graphics/61201-amd-radeon-r9-280x-vs-nvidia-geforce-gtx-770-4k/
Onysfx Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I would recommend nvidia as well...I've always had openGL problems with radeon as long as I can remember....
Xycaleth Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I would go for an AMD card. Their OpenGL driver has gotten a lot better over the past few years, and the Radeon 280x seems pretty good. Add to the fact that AMD's Mantle graphics API is being introduced soon, which, if their numbers are marketing are anywhere near real numbers, will be an advantage over Nvidia (though only for games that support Mantle).
Shadzy Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 AMD Card has always been good in my exp as well, good card choice OP!
