Tempust85
Is there a way to get the fake bump mapping that works on patch objects in a map to work on models? Link to comment

Xycaleth
Does the bumpmapping effect only work on patches? Or does it work with brushes as well? Link to comment
Tempust85
From what this says: http://www.moddb.com/games/star-wars-jedi-academy/tutorials/creating-fake-bumpmapping-in-jka looks to work for brushes as well but some fine tuning only works on patches. I could be wrong. Link to comment
Xycaleth
You could always try it out one thing you would need to do is to make sure you use a misc_model and not a misc_model_static, otherwise I don't think a lightmap would be created for the model. Link to comment
Tempust85
I'll muck around with this, thanks for the idea of misc_model. Now would it be at all possible to have the fake bumpmapping on players/weapons? Omicron likes this Link to comment
Xycaleth
On players/models, no because the normal map stuff is baked into the lightmap. Players and weapons don't use lightmaps. Tempust85 likes this Link to comment
