Steam saves don't show up in JA Enhanced

I installed JA enhanced to my steam copy of the game but realized that my saves was not transferred. I tried renaming the .x86 file to jasp.exe but when I launch the game from steam it says jasp.exe not found. Please help!

Do you have file extensions unhidden in file explorer? The .x86 file is actually .x86.exe so you'd now have a .exe.exe file. Might want to double check that.

Otherwise I'm not sure Steam actually lets you rename files like that so it could just not work that way. Either way, that method won't effect save games anyway if that was still your goal. JAEnhanced save games are not compatible with the base game, there isn't any way to fix that.

For anyone wondering in the future who is trying to find your saves for mods like JA Enhanced. Go to your documents, My games, and then you should see JA Enhanced or whatever client you'll be using. It has it's own Base folder, and Saves folder.

Just copy and paste your saves from Steam or GOG, into the Saves folder for JA in the documents. Sorry to add to a year old thread, but figured since there wasn't a solution given I should provide it.

Edit: Nevermind, I should've tested this before saying anything. Not entire sure why this doesn't work.
