So TIL that just because you CAN set /com_maxfps to 500, doesn't mean you SHOULD...

Nonsense. Don't you know that you actually can see a difference, a very very noticeable difference between 60 FPS and 500?

You can easily se a difference up to 120. And it makes a difference in the game mechanics how many fps you are using

Indeed sadly it does. However being that my laptop isn't too powerful, I keep the FPS capped at 30, since it never goes farther above that anyway. Wish I could keep it locked at least above 46, I heard anything below that can strain the eyes.
