Few days ago, an old friend of mine has opened dedicated servers which located east Asia for both JKA and MBII, welcome to join!

Sadly the playerbase is small after nearly 10 years declining of our clan, so it is not likely that you could see many players around there. But I believe it could and would revive after old players returning and new players coming, plus other players in Asia coming to our servers!  PS: On the first day we got 8 players in MBII server, few but encouraging

Try Movie Duels 2. It's much better than KOTF. I can still remember that one guy was planning to make Movie Duels: Original Trilogy. However, I have never seen its progress nor could I find that mod after its demo release. But that demo, EP4 Obi-wan VS Vader was pretty cool. Such a pity that it "disappeared". Anybody who knows what happened to it? I'm still looking forwards to another single-player mod based on Original Trilogy.

But what if I don't want to use OpenJK? Is there any alternative way?

I haven't seen any news for probably 3 months. Are they all busying with real-life stuffs?I hope that there will be something news around Christmas.

But I remember that Tim packed all files into few pk3.So it would be difficult to simply get that map.I also tried to grab Battle of Endor in KOTF years ago.However I failed.

But I don't want to download KOTF.I have unistalled it long time ago...

Can you do that?

I mean the map made by Livingdeadjedi(the author).The map is originally a JK2 map.But when I trying to playing it in JKA,there is a problem like the screenshot shows...

Did I miss something?Or should I need some other things to play this map in JKA?

Is there any way to improve guns and saber system in Forcemod 3?

Actually, I have found a place where can download forcemod 3 advanced version(it's said to be the latest version).And the forum is still functioning,maybe they have the source code I think.

Years ago I have played a mod named forcemod3, and I found that if its weapon system (like firerate,damage) and lightsaber combat could be improved, then it would be a mod as great as MBII.So the idea comes into my mind,what if we combine forcemod3 with ojp/eoc or mods like that?

That is correct.  I'll see if I can write a proper server guide for you soon, unfortunately I've got a lot on my plate at the moment.

 

The jkgalaxiesded file is not available as a linux binary, as we have not yet built support for linux.    However, the source code is open source, and if you would really like one you're welcome to compile it yourself.  @@Xycaleth might be interested in trying to get it to work for you in a few months perhaps.

I think lukex did the manual install, possible that doesn't have jkg_assets5...

Sure,I do the manual install for the launcher always meet connection errors.But I have assets5,782KB,right?So any differences between manual install and download via launcher in terms of files?

By the way,I need a jkgalaxiesded file for linux system.The server we rent is linux system.

if you have edit the server config you just do as you did there and there after sai exec server.cfg, it will start up the server that way or do map jkg_spaceport in the console, but it might not do the exec on the server.cfg that way

Thanks,I've done it.But I still have several problems though it doesn't that serious.I find in the window it says "failed to load glua/framework/enums/weapons.lua  adminranks.lua

Did I miss something or forget to config something?Is that the reason why can't I see team names and skins in profile?When I was in jkg official server it works fine.

How to open a jkg server?I have edited server config file,and then run jkgalaxiesded.x86.exe

But it always show me that "couldn't exec autoexec.cfg" and text almost stop here.

Anybody who have experience in opening jkg server?

I have reinstalled my JKA and it works.Despite the random player model and enemy's HP being a little high,it really amazed me.It reminds me of those old days playing DF2.

It comes with its own OpenJK. The readme tells you how to install it.

And I did that after the first time I met the crash.It still not work.

It comes with everything necessary to run it. You don't need to already have OpenJK.

But my game crashed.I can't run the demo successfully and other mods run fine.

I really appreciate your work and I have expected this demo for a long time.But I also meet crash after I type the mapcommand.I'm using win7 system and I run it with my basejka(for I didn't have openjk).

And serenity,can you tell me how to run this demo with EOC?Maybe using EOC can avoid those errors.

Jka. I used to play MB2 but bad ping everywhere so I stopped. Did you had a JA+ server? I recall playing in a HK server, JA+ and MB2 many months ago.

Yes,we visited each others' server when they still had a MBII server.And now,they are regular players in our server.But usually,we don't use formal name.At the meantime,we have a JA+ server,but as you can see,most time it's empty...Next time we have a match I'll inform you that.Other players are welcomed as well if you don't mind ping and lag...

Unfortunately non-Asians get a shitty ping but no one is stopping you from joining his servers.

And what do you mostly play?JKA or MBII?

I have been playing JKA for 6 years(not taking single-player into account).And I can do some npc file editing and other files in pk3 like this(I mean those can be modified by changing numbers).I belongs to =NCN= clan.We hosts both JKA and MBII server.Maybe in the feature,we'll support EOC or JKG servers as well.

If you are an Asian player,you may come here to have fun.Usually we have players(not so many and most of them play MBII now) here between 11:00 to 15:00 GMT.
