  1. Already said what kind of blaster I thought worked for her.
  2. Ehhh...at least the blaster will be in the holster. And thanks!
  3. What program do you use to open those files?
  4. Belt looks good! That image of the Mara figure I posted earlier has a pretty neat blaster design. Don't know the type, but I think it works for her.
  5. She's used a DL-44 before, but you're right, that's not the typical blaster she's depicted with in her Emperor's Hand days or during the Thrawn trilogy.
  6. The shading in the cape looks MUCH better!
  7. lol, meant for other purposes, I figured you'd do a cape/no cape version. Seriously, I can't wait to get my hands on this new Mara. Definitely blows mine out of the water.
  8. Oh, how do you edit the .skin files to turn that stuff off?
  9. Well, that's one of the limitations of the engine, so no harm there. Though that IS a good reason to have a caped/non-caped version in a pack.
  10. Don't sell yourself short! You've already surpassed my meager efforts.
  11. How would you do that? The main difference is just the absence of the cape & goggles. She's gone with and without in the media.
  12. How could you make them disappear? Yeah, that's about the last bit of detailing it needs. You will be doing the capeless variant as well, right?
  13. There is some detailing on the inner thighs that you haven't added yet. And it's up to you if you want to make any additions/subtractions from the belt. The goggles are part of her cape. Assuming he's doing a cape-less variant, then the goggles will go away.
  14. Sweet! I think that other than small detailing on the legs and texturing the cape and goggles, I don't see much else that needs to be done!
  15. Looks great. About the only things I really see right now are some of the lines on the pants and the armor on the boots(the boots will have to probably be new model). Both of those are shown on that figure I linked as reference in the other thread. And it's up to you if you want to start from scratch, but I would like you to get this one out as a v1.
  16. That's the beauty of the texturing though, just gotta match the colors. It really is a vast improvement already over my retexture, and Mara deserves something this good. I can't wait to see the final outcome. As for Mara in Episode VII, I don't think it likely. For one thing, I know JJ Abrams would prefer to respect the canon, but that doesn't mean the rest of the crew would agree. For another, we have ancient Mark Hammil, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher. Going by the actors' ages, this would most likely need to take place way after Jedi, and if they stick with the EU canon, I'd probably place it after Mara's death at the hands of Darth Caedus(seriously, dumbest name ever). And if they DO have Mara, she will be older Mara with graying hair. This model/skin should be Mara in her prime.
  17. lol she won't be in EP7. That's a pipe dream. EDIT: Your update looks good, don't forget to fix the pants though, make it look more like a full jumpsuit.
  18. Personally, I think the hair is fine! You'll want to check on this since I'm not sure what all is your work and such, but it looks like a new head, or at least different than the model I used, but check on that cause my Mara Jade was primarily a reskin of another model. A few things to bring up here: 1) The buckles on the shoulder straps will need to be slightly bigger, I made them too tiny for whatever reason. 2) You might try blending the colors a bit more since Mara's outfit is technically a jumpsuit. 3) The pants part themselves have a pattern that I didn't even bother to replicate, again don't know why I was so lazy. 4) The boots need to be bigger and have a kind of kneepad armor, this one was a modeling thing and I couldn't do that then and can't do it now. 5) This one's a biggie. It's not too noticeable, but with the shaders on and in the right(wrong?) lighting, it's easily noticed how copy/pasted the top part of her jumpsuit is. This was both laziness and incompetence on my part, but also inexperience with these kinds of things, so if you're doing this, definitely look into that section and getting it redone. Oh, I see what he's after, he wants a Mara-esque skin that's HIS character...well...no reason not to do both! Here's a link to a good reference for the jumpsuit's texturing and detailing: http://www.banthaskull.com/images/official/sdcc13_03.jpg
  19. Oh, what fix up are you doing if you don't mind my asking?
  20. Sad thing, I don't think any capes currently available match what she is typically depicted with.
  21. Either way...still doesn't change the fact that part of my Mara skin looks sadly amateur and I wanted a caped variant.
  22. Oops, forgot to get rid of the previous one. And she now has feet...but no boots. Kinda makes me wonder if the rest of her costume can go away lol
  23. Downloaded from that, still won't appear in the selection menu on OJP and still feetless.
